Domestic to North America, black locust is very dense with a hardness rating(Janka) of 1700. Hard Maple wood is rated at just 1450. With it's strength and being naturally decay resistant, this piece will withstand any abuse in your kitchen! - while maintaining it's darker gold wood grain color and characteristics.
 
Measures about 14.5x9.5x1.25". Epoxy resin was used to stabilize the wood and to fill voids as needed.

Care instructions: Hand wash, dry, then apply Walrus oil(or other food safe cutting board oil). I recommend including a bottle of board oil in your order if you dont have one at home. The shipping is free with your cutting board!
